From the green forests of Denver comes the debut album from Woodsman, an instrumental quartet with roots in nature, post-rock of the mid-‘90s Tortoise/Cerberus Shoal/A Minor Forest variety, and a sense of epic grandeur that ties the whole thing together. Killer from nose to nuts, with 19-minute monster “Mothershift” taking top honors; it reminds us that one ton of feathers is just as crushing as one ton of lead, if properly positioned.

Es de ya hace un tiempo, pero haciendo una busqueda no encontre nadie que lo pusiera por aqui.
A mi me parece el mejor disco de Post-Rock del año sin duda, increibles.

Here's the long awaited third full length from this awesome Florida postcore/postrock/mathrock band. It's tough to follow up 2003's "With the Gift comes the Curse", but this record might even surpass it.

_San Francisco’s The Sandwitches play sweet, sweet, sweet pop tunes that traverse the long and lonely stretch of road between early country western and folk and Girl Groups and British Invasion. And the three-piece has a new record called How to Make Ambient Sadcake that features an odd, two-legged cat on the cover. What I’m trying to say here, is that you have all the ingredients for a terrific Sandwitch (again, it stays).
The group includes Heidi Alexander of The Fresh & Onlys, another band I’m crazy about, and the album is the first release from new S.F. label Turn Up Records. The buoyant, slightly off-kilter guitars and vocal harmonies sometimes remind me of The Kirby Grips, a long-lost Bay Area favorite of mine. Except more lo-fi—which if played on a hi-fi will give you quite a mid-fi experience. I’m sorry, were you expecting another Sandwitch pun?_
