¡¡que buena Girl in the war!! este album promete

A mí me tiene enganchadísimo. Muy adecuado para quedarse empanado mirando a través de la ventana de mi onceavo piso como la nieve cae sobre la ciudad. "Wolves" es el éxito más inmediato, pero el verdadero éxtasis son los casi diez minutos de "Thin Blue Flame". La fórmula es simple, pero el resultado es muy fino. Me pone muy palote el estilo predicador-cuentacuentos. Para muestra, la letra de "Thin Blue Flame":

I flew over Royal City last night

Grrrauuu. Muerte y destrucción al estado español y en especial a tu pedanía. Tienes el link del disco entero arriba, y una letra para estar entretenida durante un buen rato. ¿Para qué quieres una crítica si puedes escuchar el disco entero?
Ahora me estoy bajando el disco de una tal Jenny Lewis. Todo apunta a que va a ser un truñaco de escándalo, pero no he podido evitarlo tras el momento frikandel* que he tenido al divisar tanta carne fresca concentrada:

La tetorras esta es la que hacía los coros de Postal Service, no? Anda, que mira que es feo y soso el Ben Gibbard, pero llámale tonto… Pero me extraña, porque tengo un amigo superquemado que les vio en el Razz y no me comentó nada sobre la chica esta. No se habrá operado?

Respecto al pasado de esta chica, tan sólo sé que fue actriz de TV de poca monta.

Lo he recordado ahora: yo vi un fragmento en video de la actuacion de Postal Service en el FIB de 2003 (esa que fue tan horrible) y, si algo recuerdo perfectamente (soy un enfermo) es que la chica no tenia esos pechos ni de coña. Habrá que investigar esto, señor Curcubat.

Que tendra Australia que saca unos grupos de rock que son para mear y no echar gota. Ademas, es que la cosa nunca se agota. Estos tipejos tienen, desde hace unos días, un seguidor en sus antípodas. Son un cuarteto de Perth que tienen un pequeño y modesto estudio casero, llamado literalmente Casa Del Diablo. Desde hace unos años graban cosillas en este estudio y esas cosillas van rulando por las emisoras australianas pero sin encontrar quien lo editara en cd. Y la verdad es que no lo entiendo. Pero el sello Off The Hip ha compilado diversas grabaciones suyas hechas en el 2001, 2003 y 2004 y las ha editado bajo el expresivo título de Legs Eleven. 11 canciones realizadas a toda castaña, garaje punk real como la mierda misma, sonido chusco como corresponde y hasta un hammond para hacer más piña. Y con una versión del Strychnine que te cagas. Juas juas juas.

Ademas, no he oido un aputa mala versión. Parece como si todos los grupos que la tocan sepan que es algo muy especial. A mi me vuelvo loco esta canción. Cuando la oigo muto. -

Lo de versionar el Strychnine es un tema muy recurrente pero suelen salir bien airados del resultado los grupos pq es un temazo.Por cierto Rilo Kiley me parecen bastante buenos, en solitario no demasiado.
Y en ese FIB no recuerdo yo esas peras la verdad de todas formas por aquellos tiempos veraniegos comía melones, sandías y algún melocotoncito. -

Como decia Harry Lime en boca de Orson Welles en El tercer Hombre, en 500 años de historia, Suiza solo habia aportado el reloj de cuco. Eso es porque el pobre Lyme habia nacido antes que los Knut, porque si no se daria cuenta de que en la placida helvecia también las gastan rudas. Knut, en este último trabajo titula Terraformer, confirman si hacia falta hacerlo, que son una de la bandas más mortiferas del continente. Su fórmula metal / noise / hardcore es letal, contundente, explosiva y con una calidad a prueba de posers. Energia a raudales, mala leche a presión y con unas ganas de vomitar decibelios que te cagas. Abstenerse popies, esto puede dañar seriamente vuestros aterciopelados tímpanos.

Venga, como os veo en situación y no creo que este para tonterias hasta el martes, os pongo otro que os va agustar, seguro.
Para los no avezados en el tema, esto es Khanate, y el disco se llama Capture & Release, editado por el mismo sello que el de Knut: Hydrahead.
¿Que quien demonios son Khanate? Pues son: Stephen O'Malley (Sunn 0))), Lotus Eaters), James Plotkin (ex-Atomsmasher) y Tim Wyskida. El disco lo componen dos temas: Capture de 18 minutos y Release de 25 minutos. ¿Estilo?. Doom metal agónico, feedback de guitarra, ambiente malsano por doquier…el disco de esta Semana santa, pardiez. Del rollo malsanamente experimental para los amantes del sonido Sunn 0))) pero sin el elemento black, pero eso no impide para que uno disfrute como un enano viendo como se te derriten las sienes y te vas engullendo en un aespiral negra negra....pero que muy negra. Ole ole ole.
