A brand new album from Supersilent is always a special occasion, even more so with ”9” as this is their first recorded output since the departure of drummer Jarle Vespestad in late 2008. This spurred no less than 3 recording sessions and the four tracks that make up this album are all taken from a session at Henie Onstad art center just outside Oslo where all three members rigged themselves with Hammond organs and nothing more. The result is nothing short of spectacular and probably their most avant garde and otherworldly recording so far and once again shows a band never looking back and always pushing their limits. Needless to say, this comes highly recommended

After suffering one of the earliest cases of bloglash after the release of their so-so sophomore album, Some Loud Thunder, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have gone on something of a hiatus. That hiatus has allowed lead singer Alec Ounsworth to record his solo debut, Mo' Beauty, a 10 track album he recorded in New Orleans with a bevy of New Orleans session veterans like George Porter Jr. of the Meters, Stanton Moore of Galactic and Al "Carnival Time" Johnson. I suppose the backing musicians indicate that you should expect a jazzy album, capitalizing more on the Tom Waits influence that has long been simmering within CYHSY's sonic soup.

Con permiso de Pelukini (gracias por el descubrimiento) voy a poner aquí el disco de White Rainbow que él ya puso en el hilo de Dröner Kebab, me está gustando mucho, crea un curioso viaje de colores y formas.
Este señor ha trabajado como productor e instrumentalista para Jackie-o-Motherfucker, Atlas Sound, Dirty Projectors, ect. Recientemente ha estado abriendo en EEUU para Dan Deacon.White Rainbow - New Clouds (Kranky, 2009)
