@13e9fc5i:Recorded primarily in Water Valley, MS in April and May, "When The Devil's Loose" expands upon the stripped-down and stirring sound of his debut album, "American Hearts". A full band now accompanies him on most tracks, lending a full, roomy sound to 10 haunting songs carried along by Bondy's lived-in voice. "When The Devil's Loose" sounds almost from another era, whether it's a quiet, spooky twang ("Oh The Vampyre"), lullaby-like ("On The Moon"), inflected with old-time R&B ("To The Morning"), or colored with traces of '60s pop (the buoyant "I Can See The Pines Are Dancing" and the melancholy, ethereal cadence of "When The Devil's Loose").

para mí delorean se merecen toda la atención del mundo y más. 'into the plateau' me parece una obra maestra. eso sí que era mutant disco del bueno y no los mocos que nos colaron del palo blackstrobe, colder o radio 4. ¡trayectoria coherente y bien apuntalada a base de mucho trabajo y más talento!

deluxe & expanded vinyl version co-released with matt lajoie's own l'animaux tryst (field) recordings label. originally presented in 2006 as the first l'animaux tryst release, an extremely limited 3inch cdr. this new version fills out the album with four previously unreleased bonus tracks from the original recording sessions. each track is newly mixed and whole album features super nice warm analog remastering for the ultimate in hi-fi lo-fi. these recordings represent a definite turning point in the cursillisitas trajectory, with the sparser intimate acid-folk-pop sound of the earliest releases blending easily into a more filled-out and improvisation based psychedelia. heavy use of layered overdubs, xylophone, live looping, and more experimental atmospheres added to the reverbed vocals, acoustic guitar, and crude percussion push things towards the more free-wheelin' full band sound of the present… a drifting trip that wobbles between the dark & the light… pressed on 180gm vinyl. packaged in a totally deluxe letter press printed tri-fold art paper cover with metallic screen printed interior, photo-mounted vellum insert, and all sealed up with a hand-sewn button enclosure. this vinyl version also includes a cd version of the album packaged in a stark hand-stamped art paper cover. hand numbered edition of 300 copies.

Into the Plateau es un muy buen disco pero de ahi a obra maestra… por otro lado el último Ep(el de la fama) para un servidor es lo más flojo que han sacado, esperaremos al disco

Yo pienso igual… calificarlo como obra maestra me parece exagerado
del mismo modo cargarse a Radio 4 tan a la fresca me parece gratuito, pues tienen como mínimo dos grandes discos

Pues a mí el que me gusta de esta gente es el primero para BCore… del último ep hay un par de canciones enormes innegables

Celer - Brittle [Low Point, 2009]

This is a very beautiful album indeed from Celer on the excellent Low Point label. Sonically defined by the overriding theme of the title - and its relationship with 'eustress' - the normal psychological duress that we feel on a day to day basis - it is a work that encapsulates the varied feelings invoked by the artists. On the one hand, there's a lovely sense of peace and tranquility which is a style that Celer are very much at home with. The serene layers created from numerous instruments and field recordings flow in a specific pattern thus allowing you to enjoy the gentle journey that they take you on. On the other hand, you can tangibly feel that trademark disquiet just below the surface which manifests itself in the lightly discordant and resonant tones that fade into the mix from time to time. As ever it's the balance of these elements that provides such a compelling aural narrative and for the entire one hour and fifteen minutes I was rapt, comforted, uplifted and nudged gently when I found myself become enveloped by the sound. Created very specifically as a companion to everyday life and the small shifts in feeling and mood that every one of us goes through, this album works on many levels – all of them deep – and I suspect you’ll be forming a tight emotional bond with it, just as I have. Simply, another divine and unmissable piece of work.
