Filtraciones '09

En sí es una filtración, pero no sabía por donde ponerlo. Su disco creo que va a salir tras el Verano pero acaba de poner este tema en el que colabora con Los Chunguitos y me ha dejado descolocado.
Es el proyecto que tiene Paña (de los Rip KC) en solitario acompañado de más músicos y su loopstation, rollo psicodélico, electrónico, grunge… Difícil de definir y encasillar.
Ale por si os llama la atención semejante colaboración. A mí me ha encantado:

The Lava Children - s/t
having been blowing some loads over it. Incredibly surreal and completely captivating acoustic tunes from this Tulsa, Oklahoma duo (and couple I believe). Fifty Foot Hose meets Deerhoof meets Broadcast meets…Boards of Canada?, and "Troll" is one of the more stoned and enjoyable tracks I've heard in a long time. I immediately ordered it from Graveface Records after giving it the once through. Gorgeous vinyl. There's also a Black Moth Super Rainbow remix that's included in the download but not available on the 12"

De las japos creo que algo tengo pero ni recuerdo lo que hacen. Probaré pero solo porque en dos minutos tengo los discos descargados y si no gustan en menos de dos segundos estan en la papelera. -
yo venía a decirte forsi, que creía que el de The Cave Singers te podía molar… pero ya te lo han dicho, así que a disfrutarlo

En el caso de Flying Lotus creí que el hecho de estar de Warp ya era una explicación en si mismo, productor californiano de hip hop con influencias brasileñas, algo de jazz, con un beat muy característico que tildan de ambiental, fumable, orgánico, atmosférico, ha pasado por Ninja Tune, Plug Research..

Epic45 - In All The Empty Houses Mini Album

It comes as no surprise to find that Epic45 grew up - and still reside - in a small rural village in the heartland of the English Midlands. Based around the nucleus of 27-year-old school friends Ben Holton and Rob Glover, Epic45 have had a varied and fluid line-up since their debut in 1999, releasing a series of highly acclaimed EPs and albums for labels such as Bearos, Awkward Silence and Where Are My Records. The band has also received radio airplay from the late John Peel, Steve Lamacq and Verity Sharp. Inspired by their surroundings, blissful childhood summers and mysterious/inspiring walks, the duo have been making music for more than a decade.
Epic45's last full-length album, 2007's “May Your Heart Be The Map” cemented the band's reputation as purveyors of gorgeous, hazy, atmospheric pop. Described by Word Magazine as “The best English summer album ever”, it displayed Epic45's masterful blending of acoustic and electronic instruments, their subtle use of field recordings to evoke different moods and memories, and glorious, understated vocal harmonies.
Much has happened in the months since. “In All The Empty Houses” is a diary of this time. It is, in every sense, a very personal record; one that captures innocence, loss, yearning, resignation… and hope. It is an album of ghosts - the ghosts of past times, the ghosts of lost relationships, the ghosts of what might have been and the ghosts of what never was... ghosts on tape.
If you're looking for easy musical references, you might be able to hear the ghosts of Sarah Records, Disco Inferno, Slowdive and New Order. But to rely on such comparisons would be a considerable disservice. The sounds are unmistakably those of Epic45, the hushed vocals, chiming guitars, warm electronics, the beautiful turn of phrase, the heartbreaking melodies. “In All The Empty Houses” has a rich emotional depth, an honesty and an integrity all too seldom found. It is, simply, a stunning record.
“In All The Empty Houses” also features contributions from Simon Scott (Slowdive / Televise) on drums as well as new Epic45 member Paul Manasseh (who records as PManasseh) on keyboards.
